How to Cleanse your Computer System from Destructive Viruses, Spyware, Malware and Adware in 4 Easy Steps Boston Global Consulting June 26, 2006
Viruses, Spyware, Malware, and Adware have become the number one reason people in America experience problems on their home and business pc's and notebooks. My general practice to remove these infections requires a 4 step process. I have found in my years of taking on this "epidemic" that using these utilities have proven to be almost 100% successful. Basically there are 2 online virus removal utilities and 2 freeware spyware removal apps that need to be run which will clean your system and make it run smoothly again. I have, on some very seldom occasions, run across strands which require more in depth manual removal. This process involves manually editing the system's registry and should only be performed by a computer professional.
Step #2 - Browse to http://housecall.trendmicro.com and install Trend Micro's free online virus scan called, HouseCall. Perform a full scan and clean all found viruses.
Step #3 - Download Lavasoft's free Ad-Aware SE Personal from http://www.lavasoft.com and install and perform a full scan. Clean all found spyware, malware and adware.
Step #4 - Download Safer-Networking's free SpyBot-Search & Destroy from http://www.safer-networking.org and install and perform a full scan. Clean all found spyware, malware and adware.
Performing all four of these steps in the order above should remove almost 100% of your infected system's viruses, spyware, malware and adware.
